My life feels like a dark ocean,
surrounding me, trapping me, suffocating me.
The waves are pushing me down.
I'm falling and i'm fighting so hard just to make myself breathe.
It would be so much easier to let myself fall.
I'm so fed up of fighting, i can't take this anymore.

But everytime i stopped struggling to fight.
Everytime i was willing to let the darkness win.
My angel took my hand and placed it in her own.
Gently pulled me upwards, despite my screams.
Held me close and kept me alive.
Gave me enough strength to fight, to survive.
Told me to trust her and said it would all work out alright..
Not once has she ever got mad, she just smiles patiently and talks to me.
She really genuinely cares that i'm not happy.

I don't know why God whispered to my angel down here on earth,
and told her to keep me here.
I've said to her again and again to let me go,
cause i'm not worth the fuss.
I don't know why she wouldn't listen,
why she wasn't willing to let me leave here.
Whatever her reasons she didn't let me fall.
My best friend, my angel, she answered my call.
A long time i've been calling - crying for help,
though i never screamed out loud.
But somehow she heard my screams loud and clear,
even though i said i was fine.

How can someone see so easily through a fake grin?
